Show Studio Shop

Show Studio are best known for their fashion films but they also have a shop which will make you squeal with delight when you discover it. It boasts exclusive one offs with price tags from as little as £30 shooting up to tens of thousands.

The objects fall into many categories from art, photography and sculpture to jewellery, apparel and home wares.

Here are a few of our favourite clothing and jewellery items.

Broken Obelisk Necklace by Fraser Hamilton
£540

Light Blue Stone Held Ring by Fraser Hamilton
£160

Luna Tee by Mother of Peal - SS11 Collaboration with Jim Lambie

Petal by Claire Barrow
£1500

This jacket was created during Claire's first LiveStudio.

That to That!?

Anne Hathaway's Prada dress blew me away. Classically beautiful, this gown is timeless. It was definitely my number one dress from the day (even despite the nipple problems)

However, how on earth did she go from that to this..

I actually can't describe how much I despise this dress by Armani Privé. The colour makes her look washed out, her breasts look saggy, the tiered effect does nothing for the stunning Miss Hathaway. There is actually nothing I enjoy about this dress. Why?!

And At The After Party...

All these dresses are from the Vanity Fair Oscars party.

Leslie Mann in Andrew GN.
I love the vintage feel of this piece very much reminds me of an Ossie Clark dress Billie Piper wore on the Jonathan Ross show in 2011 (pictured below)

Maria Sharapova in Amanda Wakeley Atelier

This look blew me away. Solange Knowles is certainly giving her sister a run for her money in the style stakes. She wears an Emilio Pucci sequinned dress

Top 5 Oscar Dresses

So, I couldn't narrow it down any further than these six dresses in the end. Enjoy.

Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture

Naomi Watts in Armani Privé

Anne Hathaway in Prada with Tiffany necklace

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta

Iridescent Adolescent.

Iridescence is set to be a big trend in Spring / Summer 2013.

This is a trend, that I believe, has developed from the metallic a/w colours.

It takes a similar shiny, jewel effect and injects that boost of bright colouring we all need in the summertime!

It was seen all over the catwalks. I particularly enjoyed the following.

Mary Katrantzou SS13

Viktor & Rolf SS13

Anne Valerie Hash SS13
Iridescence means that the colour you see can change, this gives a fantasy element to the material.

Gold Rush

Is it just me or can we all just not get enough of gold at the moment.

I feel like i've been a girl obsessed with the colour all season (A/W 12)... gold nails, gold jewellery, gold dresses I literally just can't get enough of the metallic colour.

That's me, on the far left, in a gold and black Zara dress ready for a night out in early December.

I'd love a pair of these to finish off the season

Back To The 90s

I have personally always had a nineties crush. Born in the mid eighties I have fond childhood memories of the era, discovering music and creating radio stations and my first discovery of fashion - i distinctly remember a teenage plaid skirt obsession, wearing a dark green and black one in this picture!

Plaid, and the grunge style of the nineties, was a look that was much favoured by Mary-Kate Olsen in recent years.
Gladiator sandal boots are an optional extra, on trend in 2010, personally I'd switch these for a pair of dm's.

Anyway, as you can imagine, my love for the era means that I am thoroughly pleased that the nineties were having an on trend moment in 2012 and am hoping this continues well into spring / summer 2013.

Opening Ceremony's collaboration with DKNY, launching tomorrow, is a promising indicator that this trend is not going to stop anytime soon.

The collection will reintroduce a small selection of nineties archived piece. My favourite is this cropped puffer jacket with logo. (£425)
Fronted by 'girl of the moment' Cara Delevingne. I am particularly loving the Gwen Stefani, No Doubt period, inspired hair.

Here are some items that I'd be grabbing to wear now to create a nineties grunge look:

From: Boohoo
£5! (Bargain!)

From: Topshop
£29
(I was very happy to have received this for Christmas)

From: Asos
£24
From: Asos
£81.50
From: River Island
£6

Throw in some band tees - think Pearl Jam / Nirvana and some chunky heeled black boots and your ready!
